My sub post office are very quick to point out the rules to me, but I honestly can't find anything at all about regulations online.
Apprentice Tycoon who was a very regular poster on this forum once reported that she had problems with a piece of china that went to Oz. She had marked the customs form 'antique plant pot' and it had been refused at customs (I think that was how far it got) as anything that may be contaminated with soil is also banned for import. It didn't matter that it was ornamental.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. We once had a customer send a card with dried flowers on the front to her aunt or something in AUS and it was seised (sp?) by customs as it was considered a suspicious itemSome of the rules are ridiculous

I've recently bought perfume from three different online shops (not ebay linked) and all three used Royal Mail.0

thats all inland things that they wont carry and if you are sending anything International I really recommend that you ring them first...
Every country has its own list of prohibited and restricted items that cannot be sent in the post to that country. Before sending you should check with Royal Mail customer services on 08457 740 740 to see if the contents of your item are allowed in the country of destination.
