I'm not sure about mac software but on a pc you can create a vcd which will play on most dvd players, i'd be very surprised if you can't do this on a mac.0

Not to sure if this will work with your Quicktime or not? My Quicktime is upgraded to the pro version which may give me more options than your version
I suggest you try this for your video clips, do each clip individually first
1. Open the video clip in Quicktime Player
2. Press the "Apple + J" keys (This opens the properties window)
3. Select "Presentation"
4. Tick the "Automatically play movie when opened" box
5. Then close this window down
6. Go to "File" and select Save or Save As
This should should automatically open a "Save As" window, you can rename your video clip if you wish, select where you wish the file to be saved (I suggest the Desktop for now, also highlight the Save as a self-contained movie button, then select Save
Your clip will now be saved onto the Desktop with a .mov file extension after its name
Repeat these steps for each of your video clips in turn.
When you have completed the above for all your clips then you can burn them to a CD as follows
Insert a blank disc into the optical drive of your computer.
You should see a dialog box open up. Select OK
The disc Icon appears on your desktop.
Double-click the disc to open it, and drag the files of your video clips you want onto the CD into this window.
The Finder places aliases to the files in the disc's window. The original files are not moved or deleted.
Arrange and rename the files exactly as you want them.
When burning the disc, the Finder gives the items on the disc the same names and locations as the aliases in the disc window. After the disc is burned, you cannot change them.
Choose File > Burn Disc, and follow the instructions.
The files that the aliases point to are burned to the disc.
Your Cd should now be burned with your video clips and the files will autoplay on any other computer with Quicktime when they are selected
I hope this helps you out, any problems please feel free to PM me

there are loads of video tutorials to learn how to use your mac around on the internet. I particularly recommend the ones over at Lynda.com
There are also dozens of video podcasts you can download from the iTunes store that are really goodHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
