UK Online

:confused::confused:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/newthread.html?do=newthread&f=69#
Has anyone had any problems with UK Online? I ordered my router over three weeks ago and have been fobbed off with a series of excuses, had no emails as promised regarding the status of my order and am now being told that they simply cannot tell me when I will be online. Better still, they have charged me for the router and connection two weeks ago!!!
I know that as a cheap supplier this is inevitable but surely this is daft?

    I would advise anyone reading this to think hard before choosing uk online.

    I registered on July 11th (to add insult to injury before the free connection offer) and was told I would be up and running in 10 days. Nothing happened.

    It is now over a month later and I have phoned several times to find out what is going on, was told someone would look into it and phone me back but have had NO calls from them.

    I have also constantly emailed and have heard nothing except that I'm in a queue. I finally received an email TODAY saying they have JUST received my order and I SHOULD be up and running in 3 weeks!

    They have already taken a payment of £9.99 out of my bank account for this month.

    They are obviously taking on more far customers than they can handle but don't seem to care about this at all.

    The ONLY efficient part of their service seems to be deducting their fees for connection and modem and setting up the direct debit order.

    Their customer service is not existent...

    I would not recommend them to anyone

    I signed up with them. They connected me quickly - allegedly. I say that because although my computer says there is a connection and the help line (which can take up to an hour to get through on, by the way) says there is a connection, nothing actually comes down the line. I am only online now because I have got dial up working! So I've paid for broadband but am having to use dial up. They say their engineers will get round to fixing it eventually.
