you can tweak the fonts but i agree by default it all looked a bit fuzzy to me0 -
Glad I'm not the only one, I tried it and after about five minutes it was un-installed. I remember thinking if this is the sort of software Apple produce all the people raving about Macs must be crazy, or drunk, or both. It's my problem, it's my problem

And it's my problem if I have no friends

The exact word I was thinking of but restrained my self from posting in case it was just my eyes. I tried adjusting/optimising it for my monitor (CRT) which improved it slightly but I think it would still cause too much eye strain."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Just noticed something else, at install for this version I explicitly unticked the options for the bonjour service and apple software update being installed. The bonjour service doesn't seem to have installed which is exactly as I asked for, BUT damn it it went ahead and installed apple software update anyway even though I chose it not to install! That's it if it's going to install stuff I didn't ask for then it's all coming off my system. Same reason I don't use zonealarm any more and same reason I never use any Yahoo owned software."She is quite the oddball. I've never been keen on Safari, I use Firefox on both Mac and PC, because I prefer the interface (nice to have consistency across platforms) and love the power and security of the plug-ins (NoScript, FlashBlock, Foxmarks, PDF Download, Unplug etc)
Might test out 3.1 on Windows, but I rarely use in on the Mac, so doubt I'll use it regularly on Windows.
I never use IE, unless a site won't function in Firefox, a rarity nowadays. I've never liked it, but then I started using the web in the early 1990s with NCSA Mosaic browser right at the earliest days, then Netscape for many years, so IE never really caught my imagination. I think FF is better anyway

I'm giving IE8 beta a go at the moment, and to be honest it's !!!!, I'm running in "emulate IE7" mode as it's the only way to view pages properly, it just won't play animated gifs, I expect it has more bugs to iron than just that, but that was enough to P me off. There are 10 types of people in the world; those who understand binary and those who don't...0

Although it's not really worth comparing something in early beta stage with something like Safari 3.1. I'd actually be surprised at this early stage that 8 ran smoothly for anyone."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Can't see Safari ever being a serious contender in Windows, it's just isn't very fitting with the rest of the system, Firefox and Opera are much better. Is still anyone using IE?!;)
Safari is just a token gesture by Apple, to prove they can port the software cleanly to Windows, it's good I'm sure, just not my cup of coffee :beer:0
