I have been trying to open an Icesave ISA with a transfer of funds from a NatWest ISA.The funds left my natwest account on 14:03:08 but have yet to appear in my Icesave ISA.Phone calls to Icesave take so long to be answered,I gave up.Should I be worried?

What I did is gave it 5 days, then called Icesave, they then looked on their computer, said they ve received it that day (yeah right) and then it got credited. Told one of my friends to do it and exactly the same happened.
Me is thinking that they have piles of apps and cheques and that it seems like when you call, you go top of the queue.0 -
I read on an other post that transfers into icesave can take up to 4 working days, same with most transfers, As you sent it last friday, i wouldn't worry till after tommorow.
NB it's almost impossibel for electronic bank transfers to get lost. The sending bank, and reciveing bank have to reconcile the credit, and debit. And there are huge numbers of checks and balances in between. So they get it right 99.99% of the time.0 -
You should not be worried. The funds may have been sent via cheque and post so you shouldn't be surprised if it takes a couple of weeks, though faster is likely.0

Don't be worried. I bank with them and had a problem with a transaction. 5mins later and it was all sorted.
Can't complain about their service, they are probably busy with the new tax year looming.8,000 / 10,000 saved. Another 2,000 by April 2011!0 -

I received an email notification when I originally applied online - the money left my account today which is the day it said it would leave my account when I was originally applying. However nothing received via post yet

You should get it in the next couple of days. Hopefully tomorrow... BUT ... it's Good Friday on ... err Friday! and it is a bank holiday monday so you might not get it until a week tomorrow! If you have a problem then simply ring up and ask when will i get the confirmation though.
Good luck with it

I'll move this over to the ISAs sub-board

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.0 -

They only accept cheques for transfers in which is what OP is doing.0
