How to unlock samsung D500

Brothers & Sisters ,

I am travelling abroad for the next 2 months, I want to unlock my D500 currently on Orange network..so i can use a local pay as you go sim on that, I was told that i cannot use any Sim even when abroad on orange phones :mad: , i have searched this thread and and tried the trick but nothing working :mad: , tried all forums no luck.....Again i know to unlock by paying 10-15 £ but since me being a MSE member I wanna it free

have you checked its not alreadly unlocked ? believe a lot from CPW / E2Save were not locked to a provider

If that doesn't work you have 3 options:

1. If your D500 was manufactured roughly before Jan 2005
Remove the sim power on and enter the code #*7337#
This works on a few D500.

2. Buy a D500 unlocking clip from ebay for about £15 + P&P then resell.

Unlocking Instructions

*Power Phone Off (no sim inserted)
*Connect Clip & Power on phone
*Phone Displays TAT MODE
*Wait for TAT mode to disappear and phone to turn on
*Phone Now Unlocked And Ready To Use Any 2G Sim

Note: Orange D500's cannot use 02 network once unlocked due to error in Orange firmware. Phone Needs To Be Flashed to Correct This Error (You need D500 Flash & Debrand Pack).

3. Bring it to me in Edinburgh and i'll do it free out of the goodness of my heart

I live in london for me to travel to edinburgh will cost alteast £60, but I am really pleased with you courtsey. i tried #*7337# no luck with that . I will wait for couple of days for some expert to give me to unlock it for free..if not i will buy that clip .

I am happy atleast Edinburghlass is getting benifited
