Can i get any cheaper then this?
At the mopment i pay:
BT Together Option 1 at 29.36 per quarterly and BT Broadband 2 MB 15gb at 66.36 per quarterly.
I want to try and reduce my bills, so is there a cheaper provider for what i get now?

There is always cheaper... But it depends on your requirements. What is your monthly usage like?
I recently switched to freenetname and took advantage of their 4 months free migration offer. I get 2Mb, 5GB broadband - it's normally £18.00 a month - but with the 4 months free, it's the equivelent of paying £12.00 a month (or in your case, £36 a quarter).0 -
I use the internet everyday, i just leave my computer and the net on all day and use it as i want it, my kids use it too..0

You could try here;
http://www.ukonline.net/broadband/
They offer unlimited 512, 1mb and 2mb lines for 9.99, 14.99 and 19.99 respectively. Howerev, you must live in a certain area, since they use their own equipment on BT's exchanges to get the speeds at those prices. Gotta be worth a try though.
I currently pay £14.99 for 512k from Tiscali, and thats got a 30Gb cap. Does fine for ordinary browsing though.0 -
Worth also checking out e7 as they usually have great deals on - currently uncapped 1MB for £10 per month, 2M for £13
You need to pay upfront for 1 or 2 years though but they are very good.
Check the e7 referrers thread here and here for more information plus details of how to save more money.
In your situation, e7 could save you up to £27 a quarter - Nice ! and you will also have no cap !To infinity and beyond!0 -
e7 sound great, but i can't afford to pay upfront like that...grrrrr..ta anyway

I am currently looking for a broadband package for my parents which doesn't cost a small fortune. They want the speed of 256k or 512k but will only use it about twice a fortnight. It's like the dark ages in this bloody country, and even the few pay as you go broadband services want silly connection fees and monthly rates which often make them less attractive than services like E7.
When are we going to get a true PAYG Broadband service like Dial Up?, where the user is perhaps billed per hour or part hour whilst being able to connect at broadband speeds?. Most ISP's don't seem to realise that there are people who don't sit on their pc's everyday for hours but who do want 512k speed when they do connect.
There is a pay per use & monthly service available for Wi-Fi based on access time so why not something similar for domestic broadband?.
Come on ISP's, get your finger out and tap into this market, I am sure that there are people amongst the millions still using dial up, who are infrequent users but who would change to broadband once PAYG came along, and who cannot justify or afford the monthly subscriptions for the current always on / unlimited.
Dial up in this area is soooooo sloooooow that you can make a pot of tea whilst google loads, so it's not really an option. But neither is paying £14.99 a month for broadband for access by an elderly couple who may only use about 50mb of bandwidth a month!.0 -
If you are in a Telewest area, you could consider their 3 for £25.50 package. This consists of their 512k internet package, which will be upgraded at no extra cost to 2mb starting next month with NO USAGE CAPS, their Talk Weekends phone service which allows unlimited free local and national calls at weekends, and their Starter TV package. This will save you over £6 a month compared to what you are paying just now and you are getting over 35 digital TV channels including Sky One, Living TV and UK Gold.
The standard charge is £33.99 a month but its £25.50 for the first 12 months. After that you can phone them up and tell them to cancel the Digital TV service, which will drop the price to £28.49, which is still less than you are paying just now. Alternatively, you can call them up and tell them to cancel everything, at which time they are sure to offer you a discount on all 3 services to remain with them.
Combine this with Call1899 http://www.call1899.co.uk/index2.php and route your calls through them Monday to Friday by calling the 0808 number provided. Calls cost 3p to connect and you can talk as long as you want for nothing. This should save you a good whack off your phone bill.0 -
Cant recommend FREENETNAME highly enough. The migration from Freeserve was perfect and with the 4 months free for 5gb usgae I am very pleased however it is a 1 year contract. Even at 20gb monthly usage for £28pm you will only be paying £18.66 over the year with the 4 month free offer.**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0
