Ebay Helpline - BOGUS?

Hi

Ihave had a couple of problems with my ebay aco!!!! and now it is suspended - I have found a website on google search
http://www.auctionhelpline.co.uk/?gclid=CKD78_m8mZICFSYRGgod_hCUeQ
They want me to call a preium rate number 0906 665 8031 and they say they will help me sort out my problems...
Is this just a con - big alarm bells have rung!

Don't pay anyone to sort out your ebay problems, never mind a premium rate number.

You get advice here free if you give us clues about the problem :)

It is a bit of a con all you'll get is someone sitting at a PC with the ebay terms and conditions inf ront of them..you can read those yourself.

if you post here exactly what reason ebay have given for suspending you we can advise you further..and we are free!

Thanks but I feel awful - I know I am going to get a lot of stick here.

What happened is - and this is the truth - I put something up for sale on ebay - I wanted to put a reserve on it but £50 was too much - so I advertised it and put the 1st bid in myself with another account - I did not make another bid after that, but I now understand that this is considered as shill bidding. I honestly was not trying to push up the price but just set a minumum reserve on it that was lower than £50.

Now I'm in a right pickle as my b-friend of same address tried to open an account (as we buy alot from ebay) and now we are all banned for 12mths.

Ebay keep sending me the rubbish self formated emails.

Any help would be appreciated. ;-)

Anybody who think it serves me right - is probably right but spare me from bad comments please!

That's a bit harsh for a first offence - normally the listings get pulled, and at most a 7 day suspension is imposed. Have you had any other problems with ebay up until this point?

The only way you can get back on ebay is with a completely new identity - name, address, bank account, credit card, Internet Service Provider, IP address, and even details such as secret questions and passwords will be cross checked with other accounts. eBay make it very difficult, and for good reason, there are a lot more crooked people out there than naive shillers.

Dont know how I am going to get new all the things you mentioned above?
Do you think I will get anywhere with trying to appeal?

Check your private messages ;) But if you want to go down that route, you will need to keep your wits about you, and be whiter than the driven snow so as not to raise any suspicion.

I think (hope!) steve was implying... don't even try it. You've got two accounts NARU for trading while suspended... you really don't want to make things worse.

Are you permanently banned, or temporarily suspended?
