good quality rechargeable batteries are fine. Do spend that extra couple of quid and get good quality ones mind. Makes all the difference.
I think your plan of attack on this should be to have a good scout around https://www.dpreview.com, then to go a good electronics/camera website and order from there. I recommend:
https://www.amazon.co.uk
https://www.7dayshop.com
https://www.ebuyer.com
all very reputable stores with good prices.
I'd stick with the better quality makes if i were you (that means Canon or Pentax in my book, although the newer Ricoh ones i like the look of too) - i'd rather spend £100 on a good quality camera than £80 on a cheaper brand that takes disappointing, flat pictures and might break or fail after a year or two.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I have a Samsung S850 and its a very good camera. The pictures are really clear and sharp and the close macro is superb. It was £99 on offer from Argos a while back.
Unfortunately when you need to use the flash it means the auto focus has to work hard. It take a little extra time to make sure the focus is set and the flash is charged. I think this will affect most compact cameras to some extent.
My DSLR will take the photo when I press the button and I live with the results.
Compact cameras want to make sure everything is OK before they decide that they might like to do what you want.
Good luck.0
