It's set to launch on 6th April but application forms are available in branches from today. Crucially no transfers in allowed.
Bradford & Bingley to launch fixed rate ISAs at 6.25%
25 March 2008
:T I called into a branch today, whilst they had no product guides, I picked up a general purpose Mini Cash ISA application form, presented original Identification including Driving Licence Photo Card which was copied by B+B, certified as being true copies of the originals and kept on file so that "if" I decide to make an application on 7th April 2008 I can just hand in completed application form with cheque (s) ( funds are in a local BS Branch paying 6% Gross atm.)
I asked when B+B start paying interest on cheques, twice I was given the answer from day of receipt. :j0 -
Damn, no transfers, I already have an ISA with the B & B. I think for the sake of 0.10% I am going to bang the lot into the Nationwide 6.15% fixed who ARE accepting transfersLiquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0

Spoke to B&B today to check a couple of questions re account (can you apply online) and I was told that there will be an online version of this available from 6 April. Application is online, reference number given at end of application process, payment has to be made by cheque in post though. Interest (I was assured) would be backdated to when cheque's received. ID carried out electronically.0

The idiots, they ncould have cleared up if that had permitted transfers inLiquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0

Thats what I'm saying. If they would have allowed transfers in they could have dominated the 2008/9 ISA market. So unless things change in the next week, I'm opening the Nationwide 6.15% isa and transfering my other isa funds in from the B & BLiquidity is when you look at your investment portfolio and **** your pants0

Unless a higher Fixed Rate ISA comes on the market before 7th April, Bradford And Bingley will receive the level of funds they require without allowing transfers in IMO.0 -
