ADSL4less

I'm a keen reader of this area, and am constantly amazed at the lowering of prices and special deals.

However, I live in an area that is quite a distance from the exchange. We have no cable service. I do want an unlimited upload/download ability.

Despite the relatively slow speed (512k), for 14.99 a month I now get all I need from https://www.adsl4less.co.uk . I know that this forum constant features much better offers, but for one reason or another - usually line quality - none of them are available.

My transition from BT was easy as could be - and I now pay around half for a better service.

I'd urge anyone who is thinking of changing to a cheaper provider to do it now - I worked out I paid BT around £300 quid over the odds during a period of 36 months. At the same time, why not switch your email to an external service, so you can retain the option of switching broadband again when a better service becomes available?

    Hi Nemo183,
I do not think that adsl4less are doing anything special or different than the other (cheaper) companies that you could have gone with. Like most they operate on the BT Infrastructure which is why the changeover from BT is easy. Line quality should be exactly the same for all ADSL providers that operate over the BT network - the quality depends on the telephone cable and the distance from the BT exchange and not the broadband provider itself.

What are the other reasons that none of the other offers are available to you ?
    To infinity and beyond!

Well, all I can say is that the time I switched (6 months ago), I attempted to subscribe to all of this sites best deals - and kept getting knocked back, normally because of poor line quality. At the same time, I did want unlimited up and download capacity.

Also, before changing supplier, BT were having a whole series of technical problems getting broadband here - although we are just 3 miles from the exchange. Our record was 3 BT vans parked outside for two days, just to deliver 512k.

So, I guess there must be an odd technical problem in the local area - although I agree this makes no logical sense!
