i think £130.00 may be too much for the pearl, the new pearl 8120 is out now and seems to be commanding a price around £170.00-£200.00 if you are just going to a by it now might be betterto tic the make me a offer and set the min offer around £80.00.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

Still making £150, once just finsihed for £170 - the satnav trial boosts the value a bit

Don't ship abroad.
Ask for a cheque, and after 6 working days when it's clear send your phone via special delivery.

I agree. The majority of buyers will not buy unless they can use paypal..so by not offering it you lose the majority of bidders and possibly the best prices. Use paypal but make sure you follow the check list for using it safely and make sure your auction is set up with all the seller preferences mentioned earlier in the thread as well as stating up front that buyer needs a confirmed paypal address otherwise payment will be returned and a bank transfer or cheque accepted instead.
I have sold a number of £150+ items, have never come across a scammer yet, but I always offer immediate payment required on a BIN, only take a confirmed address and have a statement in my auction that I am aware of the 419 scam and wil not ship overseas.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The 8110 is the more popular due its mainly a multimedia device, the 8120 have had problems for a few phone retailers. I just won the pearl in a work competition, and I asked mum to ask for me as I was up there and she was on the PC

I wondered how long it would be before you came along again with your very unusual interpretation on things.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I'd definately open the box just to do this. She has to cover all bases. Then just state in the listing that box has only been opened to record the IMEI numbers on the phone. That might in itself stop a few potential scammers if you tell them you have recorded the IMEI number.
Or just say the box is opened to check the contents
Saying you've recoreded the IMEI may put off potential scammers, but could also put off buyers thinking they're being judged as dishonest unfairly:o

Also state on your listing no idders with private feedback!0
