I have virgin media internet 2 mg and was offered it for £10 a month (student deal, dont know if its any good...) I took it out in october and have just found out they have been charging me £18 a month.. Unfortunatly i cant find the contract that i signed (although it definatly 100% was for £10 a month) although i have a vorgin media flyer with it on.. What do you think my chances are of getting the money back given its been running for almost 6 months..
Also i want to cancel early because i am now at home and wont be returning to uni till exams..
Any help, (numbers i should call etc) would be appreciated
thanks in advance...

Normal contract is a minimum 12 months, therefore unlikely you can cancel early as they will hold you to it (though seem to recall some student contracts run for 9 months?). If you cancel early you will get charged for the remaining months on the contact.
You really need to find the contract (and check what you sign) - worth calling customer relations (150 from Virgin phone or 0845 454 1111) and querying why you have been charged £18 per month when the agreement was £10 as they can credit back if they overcharge (though if you can overpay £8 per month as a student and only just notice, you need to learn financial management - that's a couple of drinks on student promotions per week ).
Good luck
