Not sure what you are asking. Have they paid you for the fridge? Have they replaced it?I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

I assume you are saying the fridge has broken down and can't be repaired?
Did the warranty you had paid for cover this breakdown?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -
Are they paying the claim?0

the fridge freezer has been wrote off (uneconomical repair), they are letting us choose another one to same value as original.
and when we choose the new one the original extended warranty will be cancelled they have told me this ( there is 2 1/2 years left to run),
so the all will be left would be the normal 12 months guarantee on the new f/freezer.
hope this makes sense. many thanks0 -
That's correct - you were insured against an event, which then occured.
They paid out, so that is the end of the contract.0 -

but there were nothing metioned to us when we bought the insurance & no paper work did describe this happening though i did tell the c/service dept on the insurance they said i should have recived some paper work telling us this.. :rolleyes:0 -
may just have to accept this is how it is but things arn't always as straight as you think sometimes.
many thanks to all the advice these good people have given me.0 -
don't bother with extended waranties - you're covered under the sale of goods act0

Is that right though because if it was repaired the item would still have been covered, my old flat mate had a tv set that kept breaking down, currys fixed it in the region of 10+ times under the same warranty and then replaced it and continued to cover the replacment until the warranty expired, mind you this would have been over 10yrs ago so maybe things have changed?0
