Anyone sucessfully migrated from BT to aol broadband

I am migrating from bt to aol broadband and have put in my order given them the mac number obtained form bt etc. I was previously with aol but due to winning a years free with bt, which is now up I am going back to aol.

Well I got letter confirming order from aol today. Just wondered what is the proceedure once I receive modem from aol. Does this mean that aol is effectively live on my line and I can just go ahead and connect to them. What is happening in the instance that I can still connect to bt broadband before I try installing the software for aol? Is migration usually a trouble-free process?

thanks
joe

A modem is a modem, it doesn't matter who your ISP is. They should have given you a date when they will take over, best to contact them if they haven't. With the MAC code the only thing is that you may lose connection for an hour or two.
