Do I need broadband connection or could I share yours?

Ok so I have my own broadband internet access and wouldn’t be without it.
But could I share yours?
As many people are getting wireless routers to share internet connection between two or more computers in the home, the same technology could be used between two or more neighbours. When I got my router up and running, I found I was in range of three other wireless routers.
Ok I can see a few problems myself but at this point I’ll throw it open to everybody.

This is exactly what I do. I share my broadband connection with one of my neighbours.
He gets the occassional drop-out but the connection recovers pretty quickly.
It's an excellent way to reduce costs. Been running this setup for about a year and a half. End result: I get my broadband at half price.
As for security considerations, well, hidden SSID, MAC Address filtering and WEP offer a relative peace of mind. Mind you if someone wants to hack into your wireless network and has the tools, will eventually succeed. As an added security measure I change the WEP key every now and then (which reminds me...)
