Available now via Windows Update (you'll need to do a manual search, it won't hit automatic update for a month or two). It's also downloadable from the Microsoft Download centre but that method is only really recommended for deployment to multiple machines.
Reports say it takes well over an hour to install, it actually took around 45 mins on this laptop (running Vista Home Basic). Rebooted around three times prior to completion, but so far, nothing seems to be broke!
(edit... just seen the other thread on page 2... sorry!)

Have you clicked 'check for updates'?
If that doesn't work you can download it manually from links in other posts.

Well, first impressions are that it appears to be a lot quicker. This may be more noticeable in my fairly low spec laptop and I may even be imagining it, but it does appear to run with fewer hangs.
The installation process was pain free, took about 3/4 hr but was almost hands off.

I have used in for a while and can't tell the difference to be honest with you. I first felt that things are a bit quicker but using my parents laptop (exactly the same as mine) with pre-SP1 made me realise that it was just a placebo effect.
Can't see any new features like XP SP1 introduced, so with luck it's all security and performance stuff.
