in one years time when people stop panic selling there houses.
Then there will be less houses on the market meaning the ones that are will become more popular which means the houses will cost more .
ha ha you are so out of touch with reality,i wonder why you are trying to kid yourself that it is not going to be bad, christ banks are going bust and you are saying this,,,where did you get your economics degree from?,,,unless you have a fear or intrest in hoping the market does not go crashing round your feet, you really have seen nothing yet,the last crash cost me £50,000 and i will and have not ever get caught out like that again, but thousand are and will be going to ,i was young and stupid them days but i will never be loaded with a pennys debt again...this crash is going to be worst than the last one by far,,,It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

Im fortunate as 27.5k down here is a pretty good salary to be on.
"Im 24, a recent graduate I have student loans of 10k, a 22k graduate salary and my fiancee earns 15k a year... these are all gross."
Nice increase if you can get it!0 -
Don't go there. Because you can't win, even if you are right he won't thank you. All you can do is offer support if and when things go wrong. In the meantime I would take a step back.Grocery challenge june £300/ £211-50.

I intentionally reduced my salary a little :P, I just got a 2k graduate rise but was on 25k :P. New tax year means salary jump.
So i telled a little fib on my income :P.0 -
Don't they pay interns?
(And £120-150k for 1 bed in Exeter sounds very high - must be one of the new trendy blocks?)
He gets paid for the 3 weeks he is back at work.. he is a FT student for last 3 years. Graduating this year and 3 months later his Fixed rate comes off. Either he pays remortgage fee or gets shoved on a higher rate.0 -

Ahh yeah of course. In a post where you explain in detail your current situation with a couple of references to your salary you of course thought it would be logical to 'lie' about your salary and reduce it.
What you say now is obviously now true because you didn't forget that you already posted your salary and you didn't get caught with your pants down.
Good stuff!0 -
Your so clever Gaz...
Not really. I gave you the reason and you tried to show me up lol.
Rub those two brain cells of yours together and think about it. I'm creating a thread about how i can't 'afford' house prices :P... so naturally if i said my salary was higher I wouldn't get as good a response. I stated the salary I got when i graduated... graduate engineers start on 22k... I've been in business for 2.5 years. That thread was aimed at representing all those graduates who dont get enough cash to buy a house and have enough dignity to not leech off their mummy and daddys pension
Hows living at home with the parents mummys boi?0 -

Still Im sure your a picky fell Mr Gaz. Hows living at home with the parents mummys boi?
They are rubbing as we speak.
My last post said I believed you pretty much so I am not sure what the problem is. I mean if you would have said you were on 27k instead of 22k everyone would have said how ridiculous it was that you couldn't afford to buy a house. That extra makes such a big difference in todays climate, maybe you should have lowered it further? I have to say it's pretty clever of you when you were writing your true salary (27k) in that post that you were thinking at the time, 'this is sure gonna catch some people out who are gonna try and show me up'.
Mummys boy? What are you talking about, I have my own house and live in it with my girlfriend. Hopefully I haven't [STRIKE]posted[/STRIKE] lied in any other threads stating my incorrect living status to try and get a better response.0
