  • Hi, End up with same problem. Tried selling them but more hassle than it was worth on sites. You could try swapping with friends/family just put one of my books in a birthday basket for friends 40th. Everything else new but didn't have a book to put in. One day going to have car boot sale! ha! ha! saying that for years.

I help with a project in SW Uganda (and am looking for volunteers who could fund themselves while there with no admin fees!) Books would be geatfully received by villagers and schoolchildren - however the big challenge is transport costs. A commercial company will charge around £250 per cubic metre - unless anyone has contacts where it could be much cheaper???
Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure
  • i have got to say that i feel very very shocked that anyone can have the heart to throw a book out. You can always give them to under privileged schools, nursing homes, or just to friends that havent read them! I also find it very wrong that charity shops dont accept them. I love buying books from charity shops!
