NSI Cash ISA >>> IceSave ISA

Not sure what to do here..

Last year at this time i read that NSaI did the best ISA so i went out and got that one the full 3k done.

Now i see that IceSave is Good. What are my options:
- Do i open with 3k and transfer the NSI money in? - They only pay intersted annually, how will this get taken account of?
- Do i open the IceSave one with 3k, then after April 5th (when interest is paid) transfer NSI money into it?
- Or do i stay with NSI and just open another insolation?

any help - thoughs grately appreciated..

    Welcome to the forum.

You could transfer your exiting (2006/2007 I assume) NS&I ISA to any provider that you wish at any time. When you transfer, NS&I will calculate the interest that you have accrued so far, that will be added to your initial £3K and that will be the amount you will have in your new ISA provider.

When the new tax year begins you can then open a new ISA.

    Hope this helps.
  • Many thanks for the welcome - i'm not new i've just lost my old log in details and which email i signed up with etc!?!?

So if i understand correctly - this is what is could/should do?

    06/07 - 3K in NSI
07/08 - Lump 3k into IceSave and Transfer NSI cash (with interest)
08/09 - Starts April 5, need to find another 3k to put somewhere.. Probably IceSave if i find it soon or somehwer else if its this time next year.
