Quick question re the ISA application

I went to Barclay's to open a mini ISA. He gave me the application form and sent me home on my merry way. Reading his notes, he says that I make a cheque out to MYSELF and post it with the application form.
Barclay guy is not answering his phone, so thought I'd check with any of you guys if this is the right way. It sounds odd!!

Sounds right, you make the cheque out to yourself as the ISA is opened in your name.0
