PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

It will just end up the mods moving posts all the time , while I agree with the principal for order or for organised mayhem I dont think its needed or will be heeded.Have you tried turning it off and on again?0

Perhaps then people starting threads about property buying/selling need to say which country the proeprty is in and it would be good if the moderators put up an announcement about this.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
I see that the new House Prices sub-board has just gone live with a few threads moved over. Now we just need to decide how to cope with the 'different jurisdictions' question. Should perhaps, the first reply to all advice requests be 'Where are you?' instead of diving in (as I have done before) presuming all users live in England or Wales?
On another topic, how do we request that certain remaining overheated HPC threads, filled as they are with barely literate hate or abuse of anyone daring to disagree that what they are spouting is OPINION and that no-one can predict what will happen next week, be moved over for the sanity of the rest of us? How can we flag these threads for moderators?0
