Aldo shoes cancelled my order - can I do anything?

  • Yes, I did eventually get my money back - but they kept a block on my credit card so I could not order any more boots. It says online that if the transaction fails they will phone you - well they never phoned me. If you phone the UK free line 0800 3893121 I think the calls are transferred to Canada - but wherever they go - no one replies. They said my credit card was invalid - yet they had happily received my money and then successfully refunded it (eventually). One assistant said my address did not belong to that credit card and yet Capital One happily accepted the transaction. I have sent a letter of complaint to the head of Customer Services - but heard nothing. This was written as a warning to others.
