Hi there
Does any one in NI use t mobile and if so what area are you in and what is the coverage like?
I normally use O2 and 3 and i have no problems or at least very few
but i was lookin on the t mobile site and thier flext rates seem very good ... up to 900 mins a month for £26 ... cant be bad to that and you have the flexability to use eithe texts or calls
but there is no point in getting it if the coverage is rubbish and i can only make half my calls
thanks in advance

I was on T-Mobile about 2 years ago. Living in Derry and had no reception problems. Travelled around visiting mates all over NI and had no reception trouble anywhere.0

I have T mobile for work. In areas like Draperstown, Magerafelt it can be dodgy enough. Also have problems regarding reception round Newry, Warrenpoint and out through Roastrevor, though sometimes there it switches over to the Irish service.
Personally, I have T mobile and can't wait to be rid of them. Appaulling customer service and when THEY cancelled my direct debit for no good reason, THEY have the cheek to charge me an extra £3 a month for paying by any other method. Roll on May until I can get shot :mad:0 -
hi i am with t mobile and have been for about 5/6 years now

I have to agree with Arkonite_Babe regards T-Mobile's reception problems around the border. I live near Newry and can guarantee that on the road through to Warrenpoint and Rostrevor I'll get a text message welcoming me to Ireland (the message itself gets a few people excited as you could imagine, but let's not go there!). However more importantly it does signify that the Southern charges apply. They crappily don't bother to welcome you to the UK when you're safely out of range of the southern masts.
Was it Orange or O2 who were making noises a while ago about having rates which applied to all its customers whether north or south. It might be worth researching if you have contacts over the border.
I can't really comment on value for money or customer service...I have been known to stretch a £10 top up voucher to last two months.0 -

The idea has been so successful in fact that Vodafone Ireland have copied it, and have introduced free roaming for all their bill-paying customers in Northern Ireland and the rest of UK. Apparently Vodafone Northern Ireland is working on something that will be announced in the next few weeks.
So if you are looking for a new contract soon, I'd suggest you ask O2 and Vodafone what they can do, and investigate whether you can subscribe to the Irish networks.0 -

Theres a coverage checker on the T-Mobile website - don't know if it works for NI, but worth a try.0 -
Not had a problem with reception around Coleraine, Ballymoney, Ballymena but out to Portrush I get switched over to transmitters in the south and if Im not careful roaming rates apply0

Had T mobile last year - not quite as good as Orange et al's coverage, but didn't cause me any real signifiant grief in B'fast/N Down0
