blueyonder 12 month contract

does anyone have any advice of how to get out of blueyonder broadband's 12 month contract? I'm 6 months in but am relocating to an area that isn't covered. They're saying i'll have to carry on paying for another 6 months before i can cancel. It's quite annoying because i would prefer to take their service with me, i'd probably even consider an upgrade, but i feel like i'm been penalised for their lack of coverage.

thanks
Bc

I think you are out of luck, I am in the same position but I have had telewest for over a year but I want a better deal. If I get the better deal I will be stuck with them for another year and like you have found out allot of areas are still not covered.

That's a bit unfair of them. I know NTL have the same clause in their contracts but I've read of people being let of by them. Why should you be penilised because they don't service the area your moving to?

Try contacting OFCOM to see if they have any advice.
  • thanks, i think i'll see what ofcom can recommend

after 12 months you automatically go onto a monthly rolling contract, you can leave at anytime with only the last months usage to pay for.
  • all sorted!! I thought i'd try them one more time and they cancelled!! At first the person I spoke to refused but rather than getting angry i just started chatting to her about my predicament and in the end she said she'd would cancel the account.
