Belkin Wireless card Problem

Hi All,
I'm hoping that those of you more knowledgable than me on PC matters might help me out. I have recently inslalled a G+ Belkin card into my pc so i can connect to my sky router. In the Belkin utility window, it cant see any available networks including my own! I have been in touch via email to Belkin who say to install new drivers which i have done, but no change.
If i however use something in Window XP called wireless zero config , i can see my network and connect. However, if if i reboot my pc, i cant see my network until i use the zero config. Sorry for the long post but a bit frustrated. Thanks for all advice.
OS Windows XP sp2

I'm no techie, but try opening the Belkin utility window and unchecking the box marked something like: 'Let the Belkin utility manage your wireless network connection.' Save changes.

Then go to Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections, Network Connections and right click on Wireless Network Connection. Go down to View Available Wireless Networks. Click on yours and connect. When you reboot, Windows should continue to manage the connection.

Hi HC, Thanks for reply. The save changes box in the Belkin utility is greyed out and so wont let me save any options.

Sorry that didn't work, Anachem. But one of the clever techies will post soon, and help you, I'm sure.

I hate Belkin, and have just thrown away one of their wireless adapters I was using on one of my computers, and replaced it with another brand. But on the plus side, their telephone support is very good indeed, and it's a normal geographical number - 01933 252000, I think.

    not an elegant solution, sorry.
uninstall the belkin software, you don't need it (but leave the drivers) once gone zeroconfig is all thats left, and the os has to use it (you may need to re-enable the service, controlpanel>administrative tools>services> wirelesszeroconfig set to auto.

I have found Belkin devices to be nothing but cheap and problematic...
