Ask 3 themselves - they should tell you.The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

It might not just be his credit rating; it could be something else (i.e. insufficient salary, 3's previous experience with him) . I imagine they take all the info you give them into account when they decide whether to give you the phone?0

There is CallCredit too, but when i got my file there was nothing on there that the others didn't have. Other factors effecting whether you get credit or not can be if you've moved home recently or you're not on the electoral roll, or too many credit applications in a short time (happens if you move house). If this has been of any use please click on THANKS, it makes me look good.0

Most networks (but not all) use Experian. Did he apply through a 3 store or through another chain ? some do their own checks rater than letting the networks do it.0

Hi again
He applied direct online as there was a good offer on at the time, what was strange, he got an email saying 'Welcome to 3'. He then checked his email the next day and said he couldn't have the contract!
He had no other searches on his files and was on electoral roll, he has never had 3 before. Might be a blessing as my friend who is now with them, say's she dreads having a problem as it has been a pain explaining to their customer services
