Vanilla - my son gets that too and at this time of year I think it is relates to tree pollen. Keep it moisturized and it should settle down in a few weeks.

Right I have done half an hour of paperwork - sored a pile of things which need dealing with and another which can wait, plus filing and recycling.

Quickly going to do the loo so I feel I have got somewhere today.

:j Had my weigh in and I am pleased to announce that I lost 6lbs this week :j

Now I think this just shows how much junk I normally eat and how little exercise I normally do, but I am still quite pleased with myself. And I am eating properly, just not mountains of carp as usual. Plus running 30 minutes alternate days and running to school to get ds1.

Rigght, we have SSs arriving tomorrow, DSS1 16th birthday party saturday (9 of them going to drayton manor, then a sleepover, thanks clubcard deals!)and I have done naff all to the house this week because of work. Lots to do tonight and tomorrow.

Went to change beds then remembered that the spare sets are still in the basket to be washed. So sod it. Kids rooms will just wait till tomorrow. Pulled back the duvet and opened the window for a wee 5 mins (it's blowing a gale here). Collected dirty washing and slung a load on.

Don't feel too bad though as I did scrub the bathroom.

    Cleaned loo, sink and bath.
Scrubbed the tiles and shower screen (I can see through it again)
Soaked the bath mat in bleach as it was minging
    cleaned the mirror and window
Wiped the pee splashes of the window frame - yuck!

:coffee: time? Please??? I needs it!

    hex2 well done!!!
Tia, big hugs for the poorlies and one for you too.
Vanilla, hugs for your little one too, might be worth trying piriton if he's allowed it?
AnW'sMum, suppose you know more than we do that there are going to be these days which are even harder than others, we're all here when you need a moan. I know we can't be there in person, only wish we all lived close enough, but hoping that knowing other people do care and do listen is of some comfort. Then of course just what I call 'the general head up a*se days' where we do things like take the car somewhere then leave it etc (I've done that sooooo many times :rotfl: :o ) Big box of maltesers :D that should help a bit...stuff the flying (:ppigpen can kick me all she likes for being a rebel!)

Argh, forgot what else I was going to say now, apart from :j:j:j:jsure this is Michelle's last day. Erm, my boys are only off school Friday and Monday, then off at some point soon, must remember to find out when :o I have no idea.

I popped to the fruit & veg shop and the coop on the way back, don't usually buy coops sausages but they had the 'posh ones' for 50p in the reduced bit instead of £1.89 so grabbed 3 boxes they had left, DS loves sausages so they will get used regardless **edit found out they were originally £2.49!!!**. Hoping that's the last of the shopping I will need before Tuesday as with the weather forecast I don't want to go out if I don't have to  dogs will be walked, kids dragged with me when possible, any necessary trips will be made (hopefully won't be any!) other than that I am in hermit mode until Tuesday if the weather doesn't improve! Best add it to my GC target.........shhhhhh I know I said I need to defrost the freezer but they were a bargain (not often I get buys like that!)

Think I'll join Tia in a cuppa before I do a washer to TD/airer swap round, still trying to get yesterdays sheets washed/dry.
One day I might be more organised...........

When I was putting the eggs away after my Mr T shop, I suddenly remembered something from my childhood Easters. On Easter saturday, we would wrap raw eggs up in onion peelings that Mum had saved. We'd then wrap each egg with its layer of peelings in a bit of old sheeting and tie it up like a parcel. We'd then boil the eggs. When they were unwrapped after cooking, the shells would be all mottled a beautiful shade of brown.

Did anyone else ever do anything like that?

Hex2 well done thats nearly half a stone.
Dustykitten i think it could be that, hopefully it will settle abit.
Lil_me is that the stuff you put in the bath, had a friend call earlier and she said there is great stuff for the bath that should really calm it down.

Right need to get ready and head down to see my mummy. Will just land with the 3 monsters and freak her out.:rotfl:
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Vanilla - Piritons the hayfever medicine, great to stop the itching. She's probably on about Oilatum? think that's how it's spelt. Supermarkets, Boots and other Chemists do it. Can help quite a lot in some eczema cases.
