AnW’smum – sorry to hear you’re having a bad day. Thinking of you.
Mudbath – Well done on the weight loss. Will be interesting to see how much you lose when the cast comes off.
Nikki – Not been in that position but it seems only natural you feel that way. Sending you hugsx
Tia – hope your littlies better soon. Sleep deprivation is not fun!
Anyone for a bag of crisps – we’re collecting the Walkers brit trip points and we’ve got 50 so far. DH has a free canteen at work so he’s bringing home lots of crisps – more than we can eat so need lots eating so we can get the codes.
Not having a bad day flying so far. Have cleaned bathroom, emptied bins, made an apple crumble, made leek and potato soup, loaded and unloaded the DW and loaded again and TD a load of washing – still more to do though!
Off to hoover the stairs, landing and bedrooms.
See you later x0 -
Luby lou, can i have your recipe for leek and potato soup, been wanting to make it for ages:rolleyes:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

(((hugs for Niki))) you may not miss him but I bet you simply miss the company?
TrachG, been there with my MiL and DH. You have my sympathy.
DS1 asleep on the sofa, DS2 just staring at TV. I doped them up about an hour ago. Every so often DS2 will limp over for a hug and a bit of a rub down. Got my easter stuff onto my tesco order, they are getting small eggs and they can moan all they want (by them I mean my neices and nephews parents!) I am not trying to go out and find eggs with two ill kids.
Filled out my Council Tax Benefit form, they are so nosey! But entitledto.com says I am entitled to between £6-£16 per week (the tax redits weekly payments dropped after we changed the bank account details. We got a one off payment that made it work out the same though, so it depends if they use weekly payments or yearly awards to work it out). Still going to throw a huge strop if they say no this time!
Right while kids are quiet I am off to clean the bathroom, change beds and tidy upstairs. Downstairs can wait till tonight.0 -

Afternoon all.
just finished my dalies so not flying great at all this week after such a great start on Monday.
Pouring with rain - DS1 out on the golf course, DS3 playing footie in the garden, DS2 in PJs with a fleece on in front of the fire on the PS2.
AnWs'Mum huge hugs hun. I expect you have hit another stage of grief now that the inquest has been and gone. You stayed strong and fought for so long, hope your day has got better.
I am going to do 15 minutes cleaning downstairs loo and then 15 minutes paperwork before I start tea. I will do bathroom tonight whilst bathing DS3.
Family room on the cards for tomorrow with toys/videos/books being sorted. I had a list somewhere pages back think I'll locate it when I come back. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Just back from Mr. T's. And I know think I've seen it all.
As I was packing stuff up at the checkout, a woman came down the aisle and leaned over and took a handful of carrier bags with a low voiced "excuse me, I need a couple of those". I looked in her trolley and it was full of 'bags for life'. She clearly got all her 'green points' at her checkout but then had a need (bin liners perhaps?) and cheek to ripoff several carriers at my checkout.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Just back from the doctors as DS1 has a rash over the inside of his legs yesterday and this morning it is on the inside of his arms, so the doctor said it's eczema and has sent us home with cream. Poor wee lad just wants to scratch it, he say's it's scratchy instead of itchy. I swear it never rains put pours.
Big hugs to everyone who needs one. As for exploding bums DS2 has that but i started to try and potty train him yesterday because he was fine before hand but you guessed it runny poo everywhere. Think i shall leave it for awhile before i try again.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
DS2 now has a bark instead of a cough... He is barking when sneezing too. Should I be worried? He just helped clean the bathroom so is not worrying me, except the pathetic little cry after he coughs right enough. And DH is working till 11.30pm tonight too!
DS1 woke up, whined and fell back asleep.
Well, beds need changing and rooms need aired.0
