quite chuffed with myself. Managed to force myself to do a bit more marking of one of my sets of books that need doing urgently this week. Not too bad, only did 6 actual books but there was a h/w, and loads of sheets that needed sorting through from when i was off and they did loads on paper for me. I have put in the ground work so hopefully will be a lot quicker tomorrow.

The books conversation made me smile.

the amount of things i have got asked about as a science teacher, let alone a pregnant science teacher. I like to think i am very honest with the kids and approachable. A lot of kids have a alot of knowledge, but it is not alwasy accurate. I like to think the very graphic answers i give put some of them off having children until they are approaching 30. Some of them do not want to approach mam and dad, and have heard some real rubbish from mates, so i agree with getting a book as well for a different perspective.

I can imagine when we get round to some of these conversations with DS and bump, it will be - go ask your mam. In fact, my sister says she is going to send her lad to me too.

We may have some more interesting conversations this time with the new baby, as they were all really embarassed about my BFing with DS, so nephew who was then 6 was told i used an invisible bottle, which of course made him more curious than if told the truth. This time he will be 8.

Off to bed now, leaving the school stuff on the dining table and will force myself to do another couple of books while having my breakie in the morning.

    Night.

Right, I'm now going to bed. DS decided to wet his bed - he'd only been in there 2.5 hours - apparently he didn't go to the loo before he went to bed - has done every other night for the last year that he's been out of nappies - but tonight he didn't! He hen crawled into bed with Dh after taking off his wet pjs. DH didn't even wake up - it's a good job I heard the patter of little feet upstairs while I was down here.

    Catch you all tomorrow

I'm in again this week properly, I'm going to sort out the understairs cupboard as the coat/bags area. I've done no "sorting out" housework since ex left and I really need to have a good juggle of all the stuff thats left behind as I need to dig my sewing machine out as a friend is coming around at some point to show me easy ways off adjusting clothes so I don't have to go out and spend a fortune on new stuff :D:money:

I have an ebay mountain to climb, which I'll tackle once DD is off to stay with ex/ex-il's so I can spread out :rotfl: I do however still have empty boxes from when I packed up his stuff so I'll use them to stick any extra ebayable stuff in and then I'll charity shop anything that doesn't sell ;) I need this place cleared out by April 5th which is DD's birthday. Will I do it? Course I will :D:rotfl::rotfl:

Right now though I'm off to bed. Was supposed to be having a bath but its 11pm and I'm shattered so will bathe tomorrow instead. Night all

Re: Body Changes books, My Mum gave me one because I was so shy about 'that stuff'. I would only put deodorant on in the bathroom! And I can't find anything in my childhood to explain it. I'm very [strike]maybe too much so[/strike] open about sex, but periods? Oh god no! Even now with DH I will say something like 'it's you know... that time' only when the light are out! And I hide towels and tampons in the trolley! :rotfl:

Michelle, you will liek this one being a science teacher. First year at secondary and in science we were doing basic human biology, how sperm fertalises the egg and then there is an embryo. Well, for me that was not an explanation! I asked so many questions the teacher decided to keep my behind and explain it in a bit more detail. Which ended up with me going home almost an hour later knowing all about DNA and stuff menat for 5th year biology! :rotfl: I was awfully good at science and later biology and chemistry! :T Loved it too, I want to go to college and study it again as I left school at 16, but well what would I use it for?

Right, I totally deserve a dog biscuit! I have sweat on my brow!!!!

Yay! Just sold my first 2 items on ebay! So exciting!!!!:j :j :j

Ok, so I only made £11.49 for the two, but its a start right?!

Already been paid on one and it only finished 1/2 an hour ago, so quite pleased so far. Off to the post office tomorrow morning to post it - the other's a pick up so just need to get payment and arrange.

Pigpen I know this. Its just still... an icky subject for me. Made worse that I once asked a teacher (it was RE funnily enough) if I could be excused to go to the loo. He said no as we had only been in class for 10mins. I had killer cramp, the kind that you just have to walk off and it makes you feel really sick. I needed a walk and he expected me to sit for another 50mins. I was in so much pain it was not real (one of my first periods too). He was a nasty little man and I was humiliated when he made me explain exactly why I had to leave his classroom and why I was unable to sit still. I never went back to his fkn class! It's just left an impression. I'd much rather talk about sex! :rotfl:
