Hello, hello, hello.....been a busy day, can you tell? I've barely been online.
The DW seems to be fixed :jhalf a pen top inside the pump? goodness knows how it got in there but it's test run worked fine so it's on it's proper run nowsee what it's like when I open the door (likely with my eyes closed)
Been to Dad's to take his birthday pressies over, he showed me the divorce papers, they've spelt my Mam's name wrong, seems it's also wrong on the marriage certificate........are they legally married, are they legally divorced, I dunno :rotfl:
2 hours ish sorting mother dearest to go out, she brought 2 outfits which needed stuff doing like ironing :eek:had to find the iron first :rotfl:one was showing her bra, not suitable and nothing to put underneath it, seriously she's a nightmare when she's going out. Anyway she's staying here tonight, beds made etc I have to go pick her up about 11pm.
Oh, this weeks list, suppose I am in, in between study time. DP did end up rather busy at work because the pubs in one area were closed early because of http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/wear/7299451.stm hoping the kid pulls through, just shows what sort of morons are out there and supports my case for being a boring person who'd rather stay in!
((Summermoon)) big hugs for you, sorry to hear about your Grandad. One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all .... I start the week with so much promise and fall off the wagon somewhere along the line, so I for one am happy with PigPen shuffling the days around, as that way, at least I get a chance to get different rooms hit upon. Especially as I was hoping she'd do the stairs / living room tomorrow, as I didn't get around to doing it last week.
DH is currently restoring the kitchen after he cooked dinner tonight, so hopefully he's doing the oven
Soappie (I think it was you, apologies if not) - When I were a lass (all those eons ago), my parents and I had a good, open relationship which allowed me to know the facts etc., however, my father also bought me a book (about girls growing and what to expect) and it allowed me to go away and digest at my leisure. A mixture of both worked beautifully for me.GC - March 2024 -0 -
I was also thinking of one of those books (boys version) for my DS. He asks all sorts of questions but I thought it might help just in case he was too embarassed (can't imagine that though) to ask about something. I was talking to his dad the other night about this and he said "oh I bet you just say ask your dad next time you're at his" but I did try this once and he said there was no point as his dad never tells him anything! ex did laugh when I told him though and said he would try harder.
Decluttering has started here and I've shredded lots of old bank statements and recycled loads of paper - a small step in the right direction.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I'm in. Got some cross stitch kits to list on Ebay that I just know I am not going to get around to doing so there is no point keeping them. Not sure how well I will stay on track this week though as we are supposed to be decluttering the garage. OH is off work specially to do this so I might only be doing level ones this week.May Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200

Hi everyone
Cut and pasted this from last week's thread that I posted earlier - cos I am lazy and haven't worked out quoting yet! :rotfl:
Mudbath and everyone else looking for books, Usborne do a book called "What's happening to me?", well they do two I think - one aimed at girls, one aimed at boys. They are written for ages 8+. There are quite a few on ebay at the moment if you just do a search for the title! Hope this helps! These are really good books as well.
This is my first ever post, having been lurking for ages but got a bit scared to post after seeing some of the responses newbies have got on other boards and threads!!!!!
Love the flylady thread and dream that maybe one day I may actually achieve everything on the list for a day! Not much flying going on at the moment because I have soooooo much college work - my own fault for falling behind by spending too much time reading the OS thread!!!!Make £5 a day challenge - April

sneaking in though the back door.....
Can I please be a flylady again? Pretty please with cherry on top? I am missing you all miserably and my house so needs serious routine. I have been working outside the house and I have not been good with the cleaning.
The housework gets in the way of my creativity and I would rather be making a nice basket or nappy cake or a card then dusting, hovering or ironing.
I have bought a big filing cabinet from the recyclers (wanted £160 in Staples, got a nice one incl delivery from local Council recyclers for £50 which also included 70 hanging files. So I am hoping that will sort out the endless amount of paperwork in this house.
I see that our lovely Pigpen is the leader and is working everyone hard for a reward of dogbiscuits. So, please miss, if you will have be back I promise I will work hard..0
