Sony Ericsson K800i is a fantastic ring

My mum had a Samsung D900i and she was forever complaining about the battery and the volume. I went halfs with her and got her a Sony Erricson K800i on 02 and she hasn't once complained - infact she's over the moon.0 -

I gave my Nana my old Motorola V3 as she finds it hard to hear, but she gets on fine with that phone. As well as a loud ring, the speakerphone option means she can actually hear what people are saying when they do call! Plus I found it virtually indestructable, I dropped it so many times and it was totally fine! It's simple enough for her to use. When I bought it the reviews said the buttons were a little strange, but I found them very easy, and even though Nan has arthritis she can press then with no problems. Plus as it's a flip phone she hasn't accidentally rung me for ages.... her previous phone would get knocked in her pocket and she'd use up all her credit before she noticed.Live on £11k in 2011

My Mum is little hard of hearing and so I am looking for a simple to use / with loud ring tone!*********I'm a bit deaf too, and use a hearing aid. RNID are absolutely useless and the Web hasn't been all that helpful either. However, one post here recomended a Motorola V3, and one or two friends have agreed - so I tried it.
The Motorola RAZR V3 is absolutely excellent - a powerful vibration and very loud ringtones, of which there is a choice of about 30, so it's easy to find one which suits your type of hearing loss. It also works fine with my hearing aid - and has a big screen and fairly large buttons
However it's a bit difficult to find a new one as the V3 is some 3 years old, but I just got mine from Pre-Pay Mania, via Amazon. It cost just £39.35, post free, and although advertised as an Orange phone, is not actually locked to them - just put your old SIM card in and off you go.
What's more, their Orange and T-Mobile phones come with £10 credit on the SIM ... so it actually cost me less than £30! Well worth a try.0 -

i got a Motorola W180, which is the loudest phone I have ever had. It is a good basic phone with large keys. It is on offer at Carphone Warehouse online in their clearance section(returns), for £4.84 plus compulsory £10 crrdit0
