It happens in Asda too. They used to have a Philips freeview box for about £30 in stock. I recently went to get one and they'd been put up to £59.99.

As far as normal shopping goes, I prefer my fruit and veg from Lidl. I worked there for part of my Uni summer hols last year and we checked the fruit and veg stock every 15 mins or so. We were told "If you wouldn't buy it, bin it". The result? All the stock sold quickly as it was fresh AND much cheaper than ANY other supermarket in the area including Asda and Tesco.
    Boo!
