Car breakers or eBay. I've had more luck with ebay recently (not for me, but for the rest of our family who are incapable of looking for these things themselves and make me do it).

As people have said halfords stock loads of wing mirrors so I'm surprised to see they said no, Perhaps you just asked someone who didn't have a clue and couldn't be bothered! They have a book which tells you which one fits according to your car and model etc. If they do not have one to fit they do have universal ones.

I would think if you bought the mirror from a scrap yard you'd be hard pushed to get it out without cracking the glass
