Hello folks,
I had a water meter fitted in the 2nd half of last year. I got a plumber in to change my flush from the old UK standard 9 litre to new European standard 6 litre type.
While here I asked if the plumber if he had any tips on saving cash by saving water. Absolutely simple he told me. He said that I should get a basin to use in my bathroom sink and recommended that I use water from this to flush the loo instead of pulling the plug cistern. He also suggested using water from the kitchen collected in a basin could be used for loo flushes also.
Also as per suggested elsewhere on this forum I have put 1 of those water saving devices (sometimes called a hippo) into my cistern to save me a litre per flush again.
Regards,
Stevie
