Er, points on your license are convictions, they are motoring convictions - you do not have to be summonsed to be convicted of a motoring offence. Whoever told you that is talking rot.
Regardless, you have to disclose any motoring conviction for which you were fined. Points or not is irrelevant.
it was the police officer who pulled me over,he told me this (i know the police dont know everything).
i am in scotland, dont know if you are in england or not, this may mean the laws are different.
but the police officer definatly told me this was not a conviction, only a judge could convict me,the fine and points is an alternative to going to court to face a possible conviction by a judge....work permit granted!0 -
The police officer was wrong. Points on a licence are convictions. You don't need to attend court to be convicted of an offence.0

to conclude this thread.
after me calling admiral 3 times, being told they would call me back each time i phoned them again tonight.
the indian man on the end of the line went and listened to the sales call,as did the previous person i spoke to,they said the would call me back with a conclusion but never did.
eventually tonight this indian guy admitted it was admirals fault and i will not have to pay the extra money that they have asked for, they will write it off.
i noticed someone on one of these boards said when dealing with something like this mention the FSA or the financial ombudsman if they are regulated by them,i did this on the last call to admiral,i wonder if this helped in anyway?
anyway a big thank you to whoever it was that mentioned it.
and thanks to all who have contribyted to this thread.
i get to keep my £93....work permit granted!0
