This sounds just like something they featured in The Real Hustle last year!!

Did the salesman actually have any link to the NHS?

I would contact this company and ask for your money back. I would also contact your local NHS as they probably have no connection with this salesman, and have given no authorisation for leaflets to be distributed. Perhaps contact any others you can find who have been mis-sold this deal, and then contact the company again, with all the unhappy customers, and say that if you don't get your money back, you'll be going to Watchdog and Trading Standards.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

You are fortunate that you had a witness, who heard what the salesman said.

The verbal agreement is part of the contract, and since two of you heard it you can confirm what was agreed. So what you have been given is NOT what was in the contract; you are therefore within your rights to request a credit card chargeback or seek legal redress.

I do suggest that you contact the company. They ought to be very interested to know that they are employing someone who behaves in this criminal manner.

When you have a business you need to learn that there are a lot of these sort of companies wanting to sell you crummy advertising. I can't see how this type of booklet is ever going to give you great exposure-stick to the local press or yellow pages I say.
