What can we do about supermarket prices?

grow it yourself, farm it yourself or market stalls.0

I went into a small co-op today and they had a choice of washing powder. The small co-op own brand came in either bio or non-bio for £2.15 and looked pretty easy to carry. Easier still if you have a trolly. You'll be buying this once a month at most, 2 washes a week 8 washes in the box?
Prunes (there were a selection) were 69p or 80p.
This was a convenience store competing with the likes of Spar and Costcutter. This was not a huge supermarket.
I was surprised they even carried prunes, let alone a choice.
Things change, inflation happens. Get a trolley and buy small tins of prunes from Tesco for 25p. (when you're there buy them in bulk so you can open them when you want them).
Complaining about prices in local convenience shops is churlish, these are profit making businesses not charities.0
