Theft from school, how to approach

Is her teacher aware of it, because if this continuous thieving was happening in my class I would want to know who it was!

Definitely have a word with the teacher, and I'm sure he/she will take some action. Doing nothing sends out totally the wrong message to impressionable young minds.

If it happens again, the only way is for the teacher to search children's desks, but it has to be on the day, so your DD needs to tell immediately. If a child is stealing, it needs to be stopped - now! There may be more serious underlying reasons or the kid might just think they can get away with it.

Either way - it's not good.

something that i suspect you'd have around the house and is easy to use to discreetly mark such items is nail varnish.

nice blob in a distinct colour ought to do the trick.

i can sympathise that this really is the last thing you need to be dealing with at the moment, and assuming the school are aware of the situation, im sure they will understand why you dont want to be running to town to buy stationery every two minutes, out of convenience as much as principle.

    Loving your grammar though.
if that is a genuine post, then i apologise. i'm not entirely sure i believe that losing a pencil case at the age of 7 can lead to life long therapy, but each to their own! and i'm glad that my gammar is good too! ;)

There's plenty of us with a stationery fetish, however it was started. :rotfl: Pink pencils and pens, anyone?

When I was 7 I was obsessed with dinosaurs (strange little girl I was), I had a badge that I wore on everything I owned with a T Rex on it, it was my favourite thing in the whole world.

Well, it was stolen from my coat and I was heartbroken. It still comes to my mind now it upset me so much lol

But yes, I am going in to school this afternoon and I'll buy her another one of the handwriting pens over Easter and mark it thoroughly. My DD is quite a sensitive little thing and its upset her a bit.

I'm going off topic but I was telling my DH last night about a badge I had years ago with a dinosaur (think it was a T-rex) on it that I pestered my mum into getting for me. They were giving them away at petrol stations but I can't remember which company. Was it one of those ones?

I dont know, I have no idea where it came from, but its a possibility. It had a silhouette of a T rex with like a no entry sign around it. Im 34 if it helps to date it :D

That's the one, I'm 34 too. How spooky I haven't even thought about it for years then last night had a huge conversation about it. I need to get out more
