Hi Mags....when you go thru Quidco takes a while for you to get the money and anyway they seem only to recommend companies with a poor service record.
If you are a low user, you could try Ebico, part of Southern Electric.Ebico are an ethical company, no tricks, simple bills, no discounts either and not the cheapest for everyone.
I can check which company is best for you, but I need a postcode and exact per year consumption in kwh's. Ebico support E7. Being mid terrace, and careful might mean you are a low user.
Also Mags, nice to see you in credit, means you are not paying off old debts.0 -
Also need to know the precise tariff you on. Will be on your bill, bold writing. If you cannot work out your exact consumption, ring Scottish Power, they are obliged to tell you.The number will be on the b ill.
If the number is not free, look up an alternative on 'saynoto0870'.0 -

So what would it work out to if you used actual meter readings? Read the meter yourself and give your supplier the actual readings and ask for a new invoice to be sent out to you. This should be done every time that you receive an estimated bill. You could substitute the estimated readings (usually have an E next to them) with the actual readings and work out the true cost yourself. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
I know you might not want to here this but if your bill is an estimate then it could be wrong (i.e not enough or too much).
Find the meter and it will have 2 readings. One reading is for night time (your storage heaters) and the other is during the day where you pay more for electricity. You would not be allowed to swap until you pay the actual bill not the estimate.
Try one of those price comparison websites and add the day and night rates from your previous post and it should find you the best deal. Also because you get cheap overnight electriity use washers etc then if you can (i know it's not always possible but it's half price)Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -

This bill isnt an estimate i have always had a reading
thanks

So you don't put your foot in it with your current supplier, put your actual readings here. If the readings are too high, it's worth swapping too a cheaper rate then catching up. If it's too low it's worth tell your current supplier ASAP then moving to a lower rateLets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0

Your post #4 does not make sense then! Why say "Estimated electricity charges ( on bill this morning ) £899.29"?
As you are all electric, your bills will be high. You need to find out from previous bills what your annual consumption is, for both day and night units in kWh. You can then input your annual kWh figures into a comparison site, to find the best deal. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
