Student nurses and Tax credits?

I a looking to apply to uni for next september to study nursing and wanted to ask a few Q's.

Will the bursary affect mine and my partners tax credits?
Can i claim the childcare part if the bursary is classed as an income?
I heard that student nurses are entitled to the wtc part too? is that just a rumour?

Anything else that i could be entitled too? My partner has just changed jobs and get around £17K a year.

The bursary does not affect the tax credits. Student nurses cannot claim WTC but you can be part of a joint claim if your partner is entitled.

I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

no as it is classed as a non-taxable income, you dont even have to declare your bursary on the tax credits form
