Knighthood for Martin Lewis (Yes)

Do we lose money if we save only £13 a month through a remortgage, that cost a lot more in fees in the long run?

I have just looked into changing my mortgage into a buy to let, and I can't believe how much money I am losing in real terms, for though the cost of the mortgage is less over the fixed period, the cost mof moving my mortgage is so much more over the period of time.

I'd like to see Martin in the next series of Top Gear being "the star in the reasonably priced car" :)

I just pop in now and then.... :)

Great idea - not just for the financial information but for setting up the chat forums .

The amount of help and support available is fantastic and I am sure it even surprises Martin!

I'd like to see Martin don cricket whites and save the ashes for the appropriate representative nations, grouped together as England. The calculator ball is unplayable on a spinners wicket.

  • :T I think that is a fab idea, and one that is well deserved. I have saved so much money since becoming addicted to this site. I tell all my friends and family about it, and even sign them up for the email whether they want it or not! Martin is truly a great guy who champions the cause of Joe Public brilliantly, and I can't sing his praises enough. Keep up the good work mate!

It's an idea, but I should think an MBE or OBE is more realistically attainable. Give it a go!

I agree that Martin should be recognised for what he has done for so many people.

The problem lies in the fact that no government is going to reward someone who hits the pockets of big business, as big business has the government in its pocket.

Remember, it's not just a fight against companies, it's sometimes a fight against the state as well (tax, benefits etc). Less money spent, means less tax paid.

I agree with your point but can never see it happening unfortunately.
  • A person who does a lot of work for charity gets an MBE and as charity begins at home, surely Martin is just as worthy of one too??

Hmmmmmm, big business and the state versus a bunch of determined MSErs. This could be very interesting.

I think Martin should be recognised somehow but a knighthood I feel is a bit much at this stage. I do feel he should be nominated for something somewhere but not exactly sure what.

Don't get me wrong he has changed my life and that of so many others and I would be willing to vote for him in any way but I feel it should be in some other way. Perhaps msers could invent some kind of award and contact the ITV network for assistance seeing as he has appeared on that channel.
