Wescot and my debt - help needed

hi i have had 2 debt's with wescot for like 5 or 6 years. - from my teenage years and first cc's etc..i have been paying £20.00 a month for one and £15.00 on the other. now they say they want more each month. IF they would of told me about IVA back then then i would only have to pay for 6 years @ the agreed amount hich was 30 and 15 and then its over right? so do i have to keep on paying this 15 and 20 each month or is there anything else i can do?

just want to see an end to it!

Help appreciated! thanks

Have IVA's been around for that long? IVA's are not worked out the same way as your offer of payment so payments may never have been the same as you are paying now anyway.

Anyway - thats besides the point. You have made an agreement to pay and you need to stick with it now - unless there is still SO much outstanding that an IVA at this point would perhaps be a better option??

If not, then you agreed to pay up. Write back to them and tell them your circumstances have not changed and you will not be able to amend the payment, and carry paying as you have. This obviously depends on whether those amounts are still acceptable to your current situation.

As you have been paying towards the debt, it is definately not statute barred, but i would suggest requesting a copy of the CCA. These threads explain about how.

You will probably also be paying interest on these debts so if possible we need to get rid of them asap. How much is remaining on the cards and are any of them charges other than interest?
