We have 2 different cars both brilliant for 3 seats we have the 7 yr old twins on boosters and our niece in a stage 2 seat in the back of both. I have picasso and OH has a berlingo multispace. The multispace in particular is great on space as has lots of nooks and crannys, and larger storage spaces, we've had the buggy and two bikes in the boot as well before now! The berlingo is a diesel and drives more like a petrol car as it has a better bhp and we get an average of around 40mpg from each of them.

Well there you have it greenpixie, like I said before the Citroen Picasso which has three full size seats in the back, and the Citroen Berlingo Multispace which julesgr has vouched for would seem to be good choices.

My daughter has the Peugot 307 and when we go out with her and her two children, my wife has to clamber in to the centre of the back seat as they cannot anchor booster/car seat properly in the centre position, so check first if considering that one.

While I think of Peugot, they do a similar vehicle to the Berlingo called the Partner (I think) which should do the same job.

Hi i have 3 children the same age as yours and i have a picasso. Best thing i've ever bought in my eyes. loads of space, big boot, compartments at back for toys etc. You can pick up some good bargains too. mines a 2001 plate and touch wood haven't had any problems with it. just general running replacements. Def one to consider in my opinion.
    good luck xxx

hi I've got three kids a daewoo tacuma fits three in the back no crushes. Mine are older now but all still in booster seats which are broader than the base of a car seat. Oh yeah it is now a Chevrolet Tacuma and is a very cheap car with a 3 year warranty and servicing.. Good Luck

Yes, the Peugot Partner is exactly the same car as the Berlingo - they are built on the same lines in the same factory... in the same way the Citroen C1, Peugot 107, and Toyota Aygo are exactly the same with different badges.

I'd say the advantage of the Berlingo over the Picasso is that the Berlingo/Partner is designed as a commercial vehicle - and as such is mechanically VERY tough, and the interiors are hard wearing. and the sliding side doors for the rear seats makes access very easy for getting kids in in tight carparks, without the worry that they can open them from the inside, or bang the doors into the car next to you.

i dont know about the Picasso, but certainly the more recent Berlingos have 2 iso fixings for child seats on the center and drivers side rear seats

in the same class is the Renault Kangoo

I can definitely recommend the Citroen Picasso. We have a diesel and its great. Cheap to run, lower road tax than petrol cars and loads of space inside. Ours is a 51 plate, we've had it about 2 and a half years and so far (touch wood) we haven't had a moments problem with it.
