Well, without saying you have rose tinted (northern) spectacles
,I've only been across the border once, and coming back to the south the Greek Cypriot authorities were a little 'fussy' about what we had in our boot.
Knowing how the GC's dislike the TC's I wouldn't put it past them to 'detain' you for no good reason - just because they can!
