My Virgin Media modem lights are as follows:
Ready: green (solid)
Sync : Green (solid)
Rec : off
Send : off
ethernet: Geen (solid)
USB : off
Power: Green (Solid)
My wireless router(Fonera) is connected to Virgin media modem through ethernet connection.
Everything seems to be fine, but I don't have internet at all.
I can connect to my wireless router(Fonera) consol and change it's settings, but I don't understand why
I don't have internet.
Every now and then the Send light goes green for a second, then the Receive light does the same.
Can someone help?
Thanks.

Have you tried contacting virgin media? Sounds odd, but often its a fault at their end or with the modem itself.
When you try to use the internet, does it show the default virgin media "your connection is not registered" page, or a black error404page not found type.
either way, you shouls speak to them directly.
Call 151 from a virgin line, or 08454541111 from any other line
Im now on my third modem from them since starting my contract in july.
first one randomly started disconnecting
second one randomly decided to drop my connection down from 20mb to 2 for no reason.
fingers crossed number 3 is the lucky number0 -
Have you tried connecting straight to the modem without the router? (you'll need to reboot the router and PC).
As sometimes a router will crash in funny ways, such as locking up on the internet side, but still allowing access to it's own config pages.
Also if you haven't done so already, unplug both the modem and the router for a few minutes, then plug the modem back in, let it settle down then plug the router in again (every now and then I have to do that with my router, it seems to be completely at random, sometimes many months apart).0 -
it is probably at virgins end - I get it all the time - if you ring 150 and go through to the broadband fault line it will tell you what areas are having problems0
