Can the Orange (unlimited texts + 600 mins) be beaten? Help please.
Options
I'm with THREE and thankfully, my contract ends in May - which I have no intention on renewing.
I've been told by a mate of mine about the £35 a month from Orange for unlimited texts and 600 anytime minutes.
Can this be beaten anywhere? Also, what's the best phone to choose with that offer? Ideally a phone that has a decent camera and good to use for music.
Thanks in advance.

There is Vodafone's £25 deal if you trade in a phone (at the moment you don't have to trade in a phone)
750 anytime minutes and 250 texts or 500 anytime minutes and unlimited text but its only for the 18 months then it goes upto the original price of £35.
With this contract you can have G600, W910i and a few others can't remember as they keep changing them. It definitely excludes the N95 8Gb on that price plan.
But deals change all the time so I don't know if this deal will be available when your 3 contract comes to an end. It's better to wait until April before you look at deals.March Wins

Cheers for replies.
I've just seen a Vodafone deal - £30 (if done online):
750 anytime minutes + unlimited texts.

As you say, the deals could be very different towards the end of April.0 -

T-mobile are doing a pretty good deal at the moment with their pay monthly SIM cards, aka: "just SIM"
800 Minutes and unlimted texts for £30 per month.
Hope it helps.0 -

It's started already - 75 mins and unlimited texts for £25. Pretty poor.
o2 do unlimited texts for £15 (no minutes) and you can add on some kind of call plan for £7.50/month......... Not the newest phones though - K800i etc which are still decent handsets.0 -
This may be the deal I was given middle of last year on an upgrade from £35 all in (500 mins 500 texts), although Orange didn't mention that VAT would be slapped on the new tariff and, although they can be removed, costs for itemised bill and delivery reports, so mine works out around £42.
Apparently there is also a cap on the 'unlimited texts' at 3000, although people in the know can maybe confirm different. Someone sending that amount a month though would maybe have a bit of a problem
I've been with Orange for 7 years, so retentions will be getting a phonecall come renewal.I've been told by a mate of mine about the £35 a month from Orange for unlimited texts and 600 anytime minutes.MFiT-T6: #38

O2 do the Online 35 tariff
£35 per month (with a nice free phone)
600 Anytime X Network Mins
1000 Free Texts
Unlimited Free calls O2 to O2
The unlimited free O2 to O2 calls can be changed to unlimited texts, unlimited surfing, unlimited weekend calls, unlimited landline calls or 200 extra minutes!
Also the £35 is for 18 month contracts, £40 for 12 months or £30 for 2 year contracts.0 -
I believe three is next week annoucing a new tarrif.
Unlimited Texts
500 mins
£25 / month
I'd sit tight especially as they reduced their Mix 1100 tariff from £27 to £20
