  • i started trying to de-clutter last night, but I ended up making it look far worse than it started...things get worse before they get better I suppose.

I think we need to buy a larger house, then we could spread it out a bit more and it might not look quite so messy.

but then there's just more room for more clutter:D
  • Does anyone know if the hair straightner offers have finished this week? (ie. do they swap on a wednesday or something?)

Took some recalled ones back on Tuesday, SA was rude and upset me, so I left and didn't get any replacement ones. The ones I wanted were £26 something, and I can't find them on .com now. Am I too late?

    TIA.
I don't believe in doing things the easy way..... :)

Had a good day yesterday (in Boots anyway!)

Finally decided I needed the Lancome GWP so bought 2 juicy tubes and go the bag which has a juicy tube and other little bits and some eyelash curlers too.
I used my points so all free really!
Then I found a lonely accessorise hatbox for £4.50,it was looking a bit sad and had been opened up.I checked everything was there and put it back together.
I would never pay £18 for it though,I am not even sure why I bought it:confused: ,it just looked sad. And everyone else seems to have one:rotfl:
    Used points again.

I also got 341 on 17 with a lip glaze, sharpener and a bronze eye pencil.

    Then my day deteriorated!

Got a message on ans machine from work about my sick leave/return to work.I am currently on half pay as it was my second operation.
I was signed back to work from today and was being allowed (or so I thought) to take my remaining annual leave (full pay)to build up my strength before returning on a phased return on 1st April. The was agreed with Occupational Health,My GP and my Physio.
I am now told I can't do that and need to return today! (17hrs notice)
So I need to see GP again and get signed off which means half pay, when I had hoped to get full pay.

Sorry for the moan,I just wish they wouldn't change their minds like its not important to me if I get full or half pay!

I can't decide whether to venture into town hit Boots and spend money I haven't really got or stay home and do some de cluttering, feeling a bit low today and not sure which would make me feel better
Get out to Boots-seeing the faces of the SA as your bargains go thru is bound to cheer you up-must be awful to work there and not be able to get off the till to catch the bargains!!

Thanks for this. I was considering venturing over to Warrington (my Mum lives there so could have combined Bootsing with visiting) to try the MF GWP. Now I know not to bother.

Still considering a trip to the Trafford Centre though, decisions decisions....

Just wondering (because I'm nosey :P) what did you say to the SA when she realised you had no MF items?

Declutter. Boots will still be there tomorrow and anyay, there's not that many bargains around. Wait till the next glitch and you'll get more for your cash.

As to having a larger house to speead the clutter around...trust me, it doesn't work like that. We got our attic...which is a mere 45 feet x 15 feet...floored and a Ramsey ladder installed three years back. Guess what? It's FULL of clutter and yet the house itself looks no different. You just generate more clutter to fill the space. I went through a manic phase last spring when I took EIGHTY binbags of stuff to the tip or charity shops over the course of two months and the house seemed to fill back up in a matter of weeks.

Mind you, I do have three blue Ikea bags of Boots stuff up there now, bought since I joined this forum at the end of last year. I can't half shop when the mood hits me. :D

Don't know what she said, but I'd just look confused and say I thought it was a gift set, not a GWP. That's if I ever spot one .....

Princes St Edinburgh have the MF GWP btw. My sister went in yesterday to try to get one but the SA spotted it. My personal feeling is that Saturday morning would be a good time to try, because Boots will be full of bleary eyed Saturday staff.

Hi Dotchas, I used to work for Chief Medical Officer of a large International Company (in Occupational Health Dept) and if OHD recommended that patient had a phased return to work/annual leave before return Dept Head and HR always followed this recommendation. Have you tried ringing OHD and Dept Head as opposed to your Team Leader/Manager to clarify situation. What would they have done if you had gone abroad?

Sorry to have gone of topic fellow Bootsers - does anyone know Lancome GWP is instore or just on line please?
