InnesL, done some digging around tonight and yes looks as though they have their fingers in a lot of pies ie car and truck leasing, vehicle hire and even driver instruction. Would appear more legit than I perhaps thought earlier.

Sent you a PM with more info.

Hi, they've got some very attractive offers, my main concern is the insurance issue. Do you guys have any idea of how you're going to deal with that?

We called our insurance company this morning and they went away and checked. We weren't hopeful but they came back and said it is normal for new cars for the V5 not to be in the name of the new owner and this would be taken into consideration. They appeared quite happy with the situation.

I emailed them yesterday with some questions and chased them again this morning but have still to get a response.

It took them 4/5 days to get back to me. Couldn't decide whether this was because they were a tad less than professional one man band in a back room or someone not too desperate to complete a scam:confused::confused:

How are people being expected to pay the balance? Has anyone asked if it can be put on a credit card?

Presumably if we do discover anything untoward before collection our depost would be covered by the card company anyway so probably worth a punt?

Just noticed the Fiesta 5 door March bargain has now gone and can be had cheaper elsewhere. Best of luck to you all.

I would be amazed if anybody would take a credit card for a £10k car sale due to the fees but no harm in asking.

But even having paid the deposit on your card affords you protection under the consumer credit act.

I have been told that I can pay by bankers draft on collection.

I am going to make some more enquiry into paying the balance by credit card. That way I would hopefully be covered and I can get them to deliver it to me. Looking at the other company they appear to be a part of it seems to be in order.

Had a reply from CCO this morning and they will accept credit cards but with a 2% surcharge. It may still suit me though as if I collect i'll have the expense of fuel there and back - 600miles!
