Sorry, don't know how to put this into Recipe section, so perhaps someone could help?
This has been a favourite of mine for years and is so simple to make. It's also great for the kids to help with (lovely and messy!) :-
Ginger Biscuit Roll
1 packet of Ginger Biscuits
1 large pot of Double Cream (or Whipping Cream)
1 Orange (juice and rind)
Decoration :
Stem Ginger/Grated Chocolate/Mandarin segments (whatever you want really)
Whisk the cream with the juice and rind of an orange until it forms stiff peaks.
Use half the cream to sandwich the biscuits together in a long roll and the other half to cover the roll completely.
Put on a serving dish, decorate how you wish, cover and leave overnight (or equivalent) in the fridge for the cream to penetrate the bisuits.
It's truly delicious if you like rich desserts. I tend to double up on the ingredients and do 2 rolls together as it's so popular!

I had forgotten this one. Thankyou for bringing back memories.
My mum used to make it for us and we all loved it, but when we had visitors (adults) for dinner she added whiskey to the orange. I never got to taste the whiskey one, so can't vouch for the taste.
